 About Meko: 

Mermaid Meko, represented by Tanja Page,
is a seasoned performer with over two decades of
diverse experience 
in various entertainment roles.
From her early engagement in drama clubs and dance
to becoming a captivating character entertainer, dancer,
fire performer, and educator, Tanja has honed a diverse set of skills. With a background as a preschool teacher for 10 years, a camp counselor for 4, a YMCA coach for multiple summers, and former youth group leader, she seamlessly combines her love for performance with a deep understanding
of connecting with children (and adults) of all ages.

Tanja has enchanted audiences locally and nationally, performing in diverse settings, from aquariums to festivals and events.
Adding to her multifaceted talents, Tanja pursued a degree in early childhood development, complemented by a special needs certification. She dives even deeper into the underwater realm, holding both a PADI Mermaid and PADI Advanced Mermaid Certification. But that's not all—Tanja's versatility extends to land as a certified yoga instructor. Her breadth of skills also encompasses marketing and hospitality, talents she harnesses to host events, weaving together her love for the ocean, education, and community.

She has won awards for her work at the
Minnesota Renaissance Festival, directs "The Grotto" mermaid experience for NewBourne Renaissance Festival,
& is co-founder of MNMerCon

Her commitment to the arts extends beyond her mermaid persona. Tanja is actively involved in creating a non-profit arts program, dedicating herself to fostering safe and supportive environments for aspiring artists to learn in community; reflecting her commitment to helping find ways to continue to make art education accessible for All.
