ABOUT OMPAS

I get asked a LOT what "Ompas" stands for.
What it means.

It is about taking the memory of my (T's) grandparents, Oma & Opa,
and the space that they carved out in their lives for us to learn and grow in a safe and supportive place, and finding ways to be able to bring that to others in the here and now.

OMPAS is collective of concepts and volunteers operating together to support an initiative dedicated to creating a network of safe and sustainable spaces to connect Communities to one another
and the Environment
through the Arts, Education, Events, and Ecology.

OMPA Arts

As an organization, we support developing & established artists by providing platforms for them to share their work / art / performences with others, while being part of a safe community to learn and grow with.

OMPA Events

The heart of every Ompas event will always be to help people connect with the Arts & Ecology through Edutainment. Ompa events works to provide safe and sustainable spaces for community to come together to learn, grow, and experience life in a supportive environment.

OMPA Eats

OMPA Eats is our division that handles feeding folk. We do some in house preparation, and for other events we partner with White Stag catering for licensed food services.

OMPA Outdoors

OMPA Outdoors is made up of folks willing to share their outdoor spaces and places with others to help promote connection to the environment and education about ecology. We ran a community campground, WildHaven, for 6 seasons and hope to find a new space for a similar space as we grow in the future.
